there is the official patriarchal version of the myth of Medusa where she was made a monster by Athena after Posseidon aussaulted her…

…but wait…Posseidon aussaulted Medusa, so why she was turned into a monster and not Posseidon? 

…in the dark feminine version of the story, Posseidon was attracted by the beauty of Medusa, who was living in the temple of Athena. Athena spoke a prohibition for any sexual affairs in the temple and Medusa was following it.

but Posseidon don’t let up on Medusa even though she was not interested 

until one day Posseidon raped her 

Athena, angry & jealous of Medusa, who was so adored turned her into a monster because she dismissed the prohibition…even though she was the victim 

this story tells about jealousy, victim - villain triangulations and being canceled 

Medusa comes into your life to support you to stand in YOUR TRUTH even though you might be the villain in other peoples stories 

she protects you from smear campaigns and projections from others 

she stands for standing in your clarity, power & truth, owning your truth & side of the story, even when a whole village stands against you 

this is power 

she carries the power of the snakes for transformation and in my interpretation dragons as the force behind standing in your power & truth 🐉
